The plug-in can only transfer images from Konica Minolta Maxxum/Dynax 7D but cannot control the camera remotely. You can press the shutter button in Lightroom window but it will not release shutter of the camera. This is a Konica Minolta Maxxum/Dynax 7D firmware limitation.
Plug-in can work with JPEG and RAW files (MRW).RAW+JPEG mode is also supported.
Using the plug-in
To start using you camera with Lightroom 3 you need to order a full version of the plug-in.

Extract content of the archive into some temporary folder. Please remember that folder. You will be prompted to specify it on driver installation phase. Run the installation. Installation is simple and fast.
Set your Konica Minolta Maxxum/Dynax 7D camera to "remote storage" mode before connecting it to your PC.
Connect your Konica Minolta Maxxum/Dynax 7D to your computer. Wait until windows prompt for driver files.
Install the driver for the camera. Follow this link for step-by-step instrution on how to install the driver.
We are recommending to close Lightroom before installation.

This software is incompatible with Konica Minolta drivers for Windows XP. You need to uninstall them if you want to use the plug-in. You cannot use Konica Minolta software and the plug-in at the same time.

Launch Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 executable and start tethered session (File -> Tethered Capture -> Start Tethered Capture).
If your camera was switched off turn it on. Please wait a moment until windows detects it. After a small delay Lightroom 3 will detect the camera and select it.

Now it's time to press a shutter button on the camera. You can press a Lightroom shutter release button but it will not release shutter or the camera.
You image will appeared in Lightroom catalog.
